⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sarah Moss books are a real treat, because you honestly never know what you’re diving into. They are almost uncategorisable, literary fiction but so readable. Summerwater is exactly this: a complete surprise and near impossible to describe. The reader is drawn into the world of a log cabin site near a Scottish loch, where a disparate group of couples, families and individuals have pitched up to enjoy their summer holiday in the somehow inevitable pouring rain.

We get to delve into each cabin through the minds of their inhabitants, showcasing Moss’ signature brilliance in capturing the nuances of family life, relationships and internal monologue.

At 200 pages, this was the perfect read for a slightly grey weekend! Highly recommended.
